Hey everyone, some of you may already know about this method but I’ve found that most people I have talked to about it didn’t know it existed, so I decided to make a video about it really quick. Anyone who promotes anything should use this little trick as it’s a great viral Twitter marketing method that can generate more traffic to your website(s) than you’re getting now. Mike Filsaime originally used this to promote his Butterfly Marketing 2.0 launch on Twitter, which in effect got him the 15th most retweeted url spot the weekend before his launch. It’s so cool, that you don’t even have to have Twitter to use it (but who the heck doesn’t?)

Can I copy this image? I know it’s a little “duh” but I don’t want to copy it if you don’t want people to.

I have no problem if you use this image on your site, Ryan.

OK..too new to Twitter to know what the heck most of that is about..and it doesnt help that I am a computer dork..of sorts. What is the best way for me to get votes for a contest my pup is on, that only last 3 more days. I have limited followers.
I am giving this contest everything I have got..and I want to use every resource that I can beg …..
So…whatcha got that can help?

Nancy,
Without too many details it’s hard to assist you in a direction that would be best suited for your pup’s contest. If you have a good relationship with your Twitter followers, then asking them for some help can be a surefire way of receiving votes. Set this code up on your website as well so that visitor’s can retweet your message, and it can go Viral. Best of luck!

Hi John,
Great tutorial there. Will try this in my blog.
The best thing in twitter is, when someone retweets something, some of their followers RT them and this goes on and on. You can get more traffic than you could get from a social site.
By the way, the image looks cool. Can I use it in my blog?

Twitter does not have backlinks juice. Simply because of their amazingly high pagerank, your tweets and even your Twitter profile page can get on the first page of Google simply with a good linking strategy

Tip* to deliver updated content daily on twitter, you can utilize a news aggregator or RSS feed, you can also post at planned times during the day. The maximum tweets you should post per day should be between 2 and 4. 5 or more per day is overkill.
